Description
The Nicaragua Selva Negra is honey processed and provides a floral and fruity aroma at lighter roasts and a smooth medium roast. Holds up for darker roast as well.
Rainforest Alliance Certified.
Honey processed doesn’t use any honey. The pulp of the coffee cherry is left on during the drying process which looks like honey. Since the fruit is allowed to stay with seed and decay naturally some of the sugars bring out a more fruity aroma when grinding and brewing. Often the aftertaste will have a bit of these qualities.
